David LevyZeus - August 19, 1995- August 3, 2008 Zeus, my Rottweiler, was the best friend anyone could ever imagine. Ever since my journey with Zeus and his cancer began I've had several people inquire how to prolong their dog's life once they're diagnosed with cancer. When Zeus was diagnosed with cancer of the spleen 3 years ago he had a tumor the size of a 16" softball on his spleen.
Some of the best veterinarians in the area gave him to six months to
live. Zeus was the best friend anyone could ever imagine - loyal, kind,
and loving, and I couldn't imagine losing him that quickly. I did
tons of research online and determined to help Zeus survive and help
him through this difficult time. Friends who are Holistic
veterinarians in other parts of the country suggested ideas that had to
do with nutrition, vitamins and supplements. Zeus lived three years
after being diagnosed and I believe it was because of the nutrition we
gave him. My family and I will always remember Zeus. He holds a special place in our hearts. He went on his last trip with us to Chicago and when we returned he died peacefully in the presence of my wife and I. Zeus lived a great life, and his legacy will continue with Zeus and Company continuing to deliver top nutrition for dogs and cats. 11 years ago David Levy started Zeus and Company. Levy named his company after his dog "Zeus" who was two years old at the time and lived to be two weeks short of his 13th birthday. It was because of him Levy started looking for all natural pet products. Over a decade ago when Levy was looking at the ingredients of the pet food he was feeding Zeus he became concerned and tried to find healthy, all natural food, which wasn't easy. "I decided to begin selling it myself. I worked hard educating consumers and store owners about the ingredients, and more and more people started requesting our products as a result," says Levy. . Today Zeus and Company carries over 38 different product lines that meet this criteria, with three warehouse locations in the Midwest, and the newest location in Southern California.
